Beware the Jabberwock

“Beware the Jabberwock,” they say
To their sons and daughters, friends and foes,
“Rest a while under the Tumtum tree,” they say,
And he’ll come burbling out of the borogoves.

And when I hear this jaray and jabber,
I must say I agree,
I am Jabberwock, the lone ruler,
Of the Bandersnatch, Jubjub Bird and Morti Bee.

One morn, when ‘twas brillig and the slithy tove,
Swished and swashed in the salty caroe,
Came a mortal boy, by Jove!
He thought he could defeat me, this mere foe.

With vorpal sword, that beamish boy,
In uffish thought he stood,
I smirked with great frabjous joy,
What a day to snap him in half like wood!

But soon enough that vorpal blade,
Went through and through with snicker-snack,
The smirk was wiped right off my dwade,
As the world went black.
